Embroidery software for Tajima machines

Stichii is browser-based embroidery software that exports DST, the Tajima format used across commercial embroidery. Digitize artwork, edit the stitch path, set your color-change stops, and export a clean DST.

Made for Tajima DST export

Stichii writes the canonical Tajima DST — 3-byte records clamped to ±121 per axis, a 512-byte ASCII header, and the 0xF3 end marker — with long repositions handled as real jumps and trims rather than stretched stitches. DST does not carry colors, so you place the color-change stops where the operator should swap thread.

Every file Stichii writes is validated against pyembroidery — the same reference library used by Ink/Stitch and other open-source embroidery tools — so the stitches, jumps, trims, and color stops land where your machine expects them.

  • Export DST for Tajima and any DST-reading commercial machine.
  • Auto-digitize artwork into editable fill, satin, and run objects.
  • Control color-change stops, density, underlay, and stitch angle.
  • Also export PES, JEF, EXP, and VP3 from the same design.

Why a browser tool for Tajima

Stichii runs entirely in your browser. There is nothing to install, no Windows-only desktop suite, and no four-figure license. Open it on a laptop, a Surface, or an iPad next to the machine and start working immediately.

Commercial digitizing software is a serious investment. Stichii lets you produce a clean, DST-ready design in the browser — useful for quick edits, proofs, or sending a file to a shop.

You can start for free. Open the editor, digitize a design, and preview the stitch path before you commit to anything. Paid plans add more exports and higher limits — see pricing for the details.

Frequently asked questions

What format do Tajima machines use?
Tajima and most commercial machines read DST. Stichii exports a spec-compliant DST validated against pyembroidery.
Why does my DST lose its colors?
DST does not store thread colors by design — only stitches and color-change stops. The operator assigns threads at the machine. Stichii lets you place those stops.
Is it free?
You can digitize and preview for free; exports depend on your plan. See pricing.
Can I import a DST to edit it?
Yes. Stichii can import a DST, let you edit the design, and export it again.
